Getting called unhinged for dermarolling is funny when you know it’s literally part of a structured protocol from one of the best skincare lines in the world.

The dermarolling discourse is loud… and mostly misinformed.
If you’d like to keep getting only up to 6% of your products into the skin, be my guest. But me personally, I’d like for my products to work harder for me.

Dermarolling isn’t about “creating damage.”
It’s about enhancing product absorption- when depth, frequency, and skin prep are dialed in correctly. Dermarolling prior to product application allows up to 100% of your products into the skin; meaning peptides, retinoids, antioxidants all actually WORKING and enhancing the skin the way we want them to.

That’s the difference between strengthening the skin vs. compromising it. Environ built an entire system around that concept.

Rituals influence the brain in measurable ways.

Predictable behaviors reduce cognitive load, quiet the brain’s threat detection systems, and activate parasympathetic pathways associated with rest and repair. Repeated sensory experiences — touch, warmth, movement — also engage vagal pathways that influence emotional regulation.

Over time, neuroplasticity strengthens the connection between the ritual and the state of calm that follows.

This is part of why intentional skincare routines can feel grounding. They combine sensory engagement, predictable structure, and gentle self-touch — all of which signal the nervous system that it’s safe to shift out of stress.

And when the body is regulated, the skin is happyyyy 💋xo

And when the body is regulated, the skin often benefits as well. Xo 💋

7 days baby ✨
Unlike true acne, Fungal Acne (Malassezia Folliculitis)
is not a bacteria issue nor an accumulation of cells in the pore. It’s an overgrowth of yeast, which feeds on oil and proliferates quickly. It’s in a category all its own, and has to be treated as such. The good news is, when paired with a very specific fungal acne safe routine, it clears lightning fast.

Microneedling stimulates collagen by activating your skin’s natural repair response.

Vitamin A plays a critical role in this process. It improves cellular communication, strengthens the skin, and enhances fibroblast activity—the cells responsible for producing collagen.

This is why properly adjusted skin can safely continue vitamin A before treatment.

Exfoliating acids serve a different purpose. They increase cell turnover by loosening surface cells, which can increase sensitivity and unnecessary inflammation before microneedling.

The goal isn’t to weaken the skin before treatment. It’s to support its ability to regenerate.

Remember, preparation directly affects results, always.
