What's a silk press? A silk press is a heat-styling technique used to straighten naturally curly or coily hair (typically Type 3 or 4 textures) without using chemical relaxers. This technique can last up to two weeks. I use high-quality hair care, heat protection, and proper tools use to keep my hair and my clients' hair healthy. I always say, We're doing hair, not frying chicken -end quote-🤣

Wow… three years of serving, growing, and creating beauty with so many amazing clients! It still feels like just yesterday I took this leap of faith, and I’m so grateful for each and every person who has trusted me with their hair. 💇‍♀️💖

Owning a salon isn’t easy—it’s a journey of faith, learning, and perseverance. But through it all, I’ve held onto these three lessons:

💡 Ever wonder how often you should wash your hair? The answer depends on your hair type! 👇

✨ Curly/Textured Hair: 1-2x per week to retain moisture
✨ Straight/Fine Hair: Every other day to prevent oil buildup, ideally 2-3x per week...if you can make it!
✨ Color-Treated Hair: 2-3x per week to maintain vibrancy

Pro Tip: Use an exfoliating and/or clarifying shampoo on your scalp and massage gently for at least 3 minutes for the best results! 💆‍♀️
