A Pause

After 16 years of glamour, joy, and friendship I am announcing that True Colors Makeup Artistry
is closing its doors at Willow Park Road. The plan is to put the bulk of the studio’s fixtures, wardrobe, wigs and everything else
into storage for the next few months. Hopefully by next spring or summer conditions will be such that I am
able to reopen.

This has been a very difficult decision to make. I do not want to close. Current state regulations for licensed cosmetology salons still prohibit performing makeup applications. All clients and staff must wear a mask at all times. There is no information available as to when that requirement might be lifted.

Even if those restrictions were lifted I do not feel comfortable doing makeovers under the current conditions. A makeover requires me to be face to face with my clients for extended periods of time. My medical history leaves me immunocompromised. Covid would likely not be very nice to me.

I want to thank all of my friends, clients and supporters for all the good times, good tunes, and gorgeous faces we have been able to share over the past 16 years. I love and appreciate all of you, more than I can say.

I’m not disappearing, just pivoting, and pulling back for a little while.

True Colors makeup Artistry

In view of the covid-19 outbreak, and the subsequent decree by the governor of Pennsylvania, True Colors Makeup Artistry will be temporarily closed until the decree has been lifted by the governor. As a licensed cosmetology salon which the decree specifically listed as non-essential, and subject to penalties including loss of license, I feel compelled to take this action.

As soon as the decree is lifted I will be open for business. I appreciate the cooperation of my clients during this very strange time. I hope that you are all safe and well. I’ll see you soon.
