One of my greatest journeys came to an end today. It’s been so bittersweet, but I’m so excited for the next chapter. I will forever cherish my clients and coworkers and the bond I’ve built with each of them. Thank you to everyone who supported me ❤️

When I first received my cosmetology license, I knew I wanted to use it to pursue a part-time career while I was in college. I have had the ambition to pursue a full-time career as a doctor in physical therapy for 13 years now, and knew this going into cosmetology. I graduated this past Saturday from The University of Virginia’s College at Wise with my Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Exercise Science and was accepted into South College of Knoxville’s hybrid/accelerated Doctor of Physical Therapy Program class of 2025 in January of this year. I started at The Nail Girl Salon in August of 2018, almost 5 years ago, which seems so unreal! My time there has been nothing short of incredible. I have been given so many amazing opportunities and experiences, gained friendships that will last a lifetime, laughed, cried, and built the best clientele I could have ever asked for. With all of this being said, my last day at The Nail Girl will be June 17th before I start my classes. I will forever cherish my coworkers, clients, and memories I had working there. I absolutely hate to leave the place and people that feel like home, but God has big and bright plans ahead. Thank you to each and every person that helped me in pursuing a career in cosmetology. ❤️
