As a CMP, my job is to ensure I’m providing quality care tailored to each client’s needs. That includes extra precautions, safer pedicuring techniques, and strict disinfection protocols.

There will always be some level of risk—whether you have an autoimmune condition or not—but I strive to reduce those risks as much as possible, offering a safer, more intentional approach to foot care.

I had an amazing new client today who came in for her very first pedicure ever! 👣😊

As a diabetic, she had real concerns about safety, especially when it comes to disinfection practices and whether a provider truly understands how to work with higher-risk clients.

She found me through comments on a Facebook post and chose to come to me because I provide safe pedicuring practices she's been seeking.

I go above and beyond when it comes to cleaning protocols, because it matters! I use a multi-step process that includes autoclave sterilization, and I’ve invested in the training and knowledge required to more safely work with clients who have diabetes and other conditions that increase risk.

I’m honestly a little disheartened right now…

I just found out that many of my posts in local groups have been sitting in “pending” and never actually getting approved — which means they were never even seen. That definitely explains why things have felt so quiet lately.

👉 “Have you ever been told soaking is necessary?

➡️ Most people think soaking is a necessary step in a pedicure, particularly before exfoliation.

➡️ But soaking changes the structure of your skin.

➡️ For some, it’s five minutes. For others, it’s 15 — it varies.

➡️ For diabetics, geriatrics, and anyone with an autoimmune issue, soaking can be dangerous.⚠️

➡️ Overly soaked skin weakens the protective barrier, making skin more vulnerable to tears that can lead to infection.

➡️ The idea behind soaking is to soften the skin for easier exfoliation, but with the right training and tools, it’s just not necessary.

➡️ There are alternative ways to soften the skin after exfoliating (next carousel coming soon) that enhance the process, hydrate the skin, and provide longer lasting results.

➡️ I work on skin in its true condition, providing Waterless Pedicures, so I can preserve its structure, protect the barrier, and create results that last.

⭐️ Some clients have reported their results lasting up to two to three weeks.
