A little behind-the-scenes from our workshop… ✨

One detail most people never think about? We sterilize every jar before it’s filled.

Even brand-new jars travel through warehouses, shipping trucks, and factories before they ever reach our workbench. We have no way of knowing where they’ve been, so we don’t leave it to chance.

As a retired dental hygienist, I also know exactly when gloves are necessary—and when they can actually get in the way. When our handcrafted bison tallow is only coming into contact with clean, sanitized equipment, I rely on meticulous handwashing throughout the process. In fact, gloves can sometimes make more of a mess when you can’t feel where the tallow is going! And if you’ve ever wondered… how sterile is the inside of an opened box of disposable gloves anyway? 🤔

Our standard is simple: sterilized jars, sanitized equipment, a clean workspace, and careful attention from start to finish. From hand-cleaning and dry rendering our grass-fed bison suet to filling each jar, every step is done with intention.

Small-batch skincare isn’t about checking boxes or looking the part. It’s about respecting the process, honoring traditional craftsmanship, and creating a product we’re proud to share with our own families.
