Once I hit the 80 pounds lost mark I decided to become a personal trainer to help others get healthy and fit too. 5AM Classes are the best! It's hard to drag my butt out of bed that early but the enthusiasm and energy these ladies have is inspiring and makes being up before the sun worth it!

6 years later...
...I mean....I don't even look like the same person anymore. And in a lot of ways, I'm not that person. I went from super shy, 100+lbs overweight, unhappy, afraid to speak up for herself person.....to me now. I no longer give 0 F's, I am pretty loud most of the time.... I mean I teach group fitness classes and dance, yell and rock out daily with lots of people! .... and I'm happy, healthy and strong, which is the important part of it all. Three things I never thought I'd be.
And most importantly, I'm no longer hiding myself behind a fake smile and a plate of food.
It always seems impossible. You think I'm too *fill in the blank*. But fight for whatever dream you have gnawing at you, because NOTHING is impossible.

Confession time!!!!
I haven't stepped on a scale in a few months now. I've been active in ways that make me happy and I have been working on finding balance in my nutrition but I have made the decision to no longer judge my journey based on a number on the scale.
Instead I judge it on this like this. I was squatting today and the program called for 5 sets of 1 rep at 140lbs. I ended up at 150lbs and my past set, I cranked out 6 reps.
6 months ago, my squat goal was to max out at 160. Now I'm chasing 200 and getting closer everyday.
There are things that mean more than a number on the scale. Find those things and fight for them. 💪

Our 5AM POUND posse keeps growing! I am so happy I am able to share this awesome format with so many rockstars weekly! It is my favorite way to start the day!! (It helps that these ladies are super BA. 😉)
