We had the most beautiful morning together, as promised, we laughed, we learned, all while creating new bonds and repairing the bonds in the hair!

Hair appointments are never just about the hair. Sometimes they’re therapy, a reset, a laugh, or simply an hour that’s all yours. I’m just grateful to be a small part of it.

What’s wild is that watching this back, I can actually see the anxiety.

I was absolutely killing it in my career. I had eight salons under my wing, my area was thriving, and from the outside it looked like everything was falling perfectly into place. But behind the scenes, it was one of the most intense seasons of my career. There always seemed to be people working to tear me down, creating unnecessary conflict, and I carried that weight with me every single day.

I didn’t realize how much it had settled into my body until I watched this. The tension. The way I held myself. The nervous energy.

It’s a reminder that success doesn’t always look like peace.

I’m grateful for the version of me that kept going, but I’m even more grateful for the version of me today…the one who protects her peace just as fiercely as she protects her dreams!

Sometimes healing isn’t just changing your thoughts. It’s watching your body finally realize it’s safe again. 💛🧡💛🧡

This is how I feel in my soul.

Life has been chaos lately, but somehow, in the middle of it all, we keep finding moments that I know we’ll hold onto forever.

I’m learning to accept that I’m changing. The darkest seasons have a way of reshaping you if you let them.

Two of my best friends are moving away. I’m walking beside my husband through cancer. We’re doing everything we can to keep our family grounded while life keeps asking more of us.

I’d be lying if I said this week hasn’t been heavy. Watching Kris become more fatigued than we’ve seen before has been hard. Life hasn’t slowed down. Saying goodbye to a dear friend as he starts a new chapter has been emotional. And through it all, I’m holding onto hope that we’re standing on the edge of a new season.

Sometimes healing doesn’t look like having the answers. Sometimes it looks like standing in the rain…feeling every bit of it…and realizing you’re still standing.

Growth is rarely gentle, but I have to believe it’s leading us somewhere beautiful.
