Let’s talk lighting:

Lighting plays a huge role in how hair color is perceived. Different light sources and their positions impact the overall look of how you see your hair.

🌞Outdoor lighting:

Provides full-spectrum light, meaning it contains all colors of light (including blue and red tones). This makes hair color appear more vibrant, true to tone, and multidimensional. Warm tones (like gold, red, or copper) often look brighter and more intense in natural light. Cool tones (like ash or platinum) may appear brighter but softer or more reflective.

💡Indoor Lighting:

Warm Lighting (Incandescent, some LEDs) Adds a yellow/orange tint, which can make hair appear warmer or brassier. Ash blonde may look more golden, and platinum may look creamier. Red or copper tones can look richer or deeper. Cool/White Lighting (Fluorescent, daylight LEDs) Can make hair appear duller, flatter, or slightly grayish, especially cooler tones. Platinum or ash blonde may look more silvery or stark. Warm colors can lose vibrancy or appear less dynamic.
