Let your meals be simple! One of my post workout go-toโs. Quinoa, sautรฉed mushrooms, avocado, chicken breast and a drizzle of pesto (my most favorite sauce ever). When you build your meals, aim for balance, not perfection. Make sure you have all your macros represented with an emphasis on proteins ๐ช๐ผ, healthy fats ๐ฅ, and complex carbs ๐โ๐ซ.

There is an important difference between ground flax seeds and whole flax seeds! Flax seeds are delicate, which is why they have an amazing outer shell to protect the precious nutrients inside. When we buy pre-ground flax seeds, that shell is destroyed and the oils from the seeds become exposed and begin to oxidize.. this results in rancid oils and diminishing nutrient status. Try to always buy whole flax seeds and blend / grind them when youโre about to eat them to get the best quality product!

Clean, simple, delicious lunch!
1/2 cup quinoa
1/2 cup arugula
1/2 avocado
1/3 cup chickpeas
1/4 cup cherry tomatoes
Sprinkle of feta & dressing of choice. This time I used lemon garlic dressing ๐๐ง I would also suggest adding a serving of salmon or 4oz chicken breast for protein!
