I don’t wanna brag, but I’ve cracked the code on romanticizing life. I’ve always been big on the little things, but I’ll tell y’all what. THIS is doin it for me. You’ve heard of shower beers and getting ready cocktails.. Let me introduce you to the commute home bevy. I’ve started purchasing a special little drink that I save for this occasion only. My personal fav is the .co refresher. Open up the sunroof, turn up the tunes, and decompress. Can confirm this hack makes my day better every time. 10/10 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Saw a meme today that said, “Became everything I dreamed of when I was little and almost didn’t notice.” Ain’t that the truth? I think little Sarah would be pretty stoked with who she turned into. Hell, even 25-year-old Sarah would be shocked at who she’s become. Sometimes, you’re so stuck in the everyday that you forget to step back and see just how far you’ve come. Whether you’ve been working on it your whole life, for years, or just a few months, here’s your reminder to take a second and admire the person you’ve worked so hard to become!

If you’ve been around for a while you’ve more than likely heard me talk about my Mamaw. I think a lot of my love for all things beauty came from her. She loved a good fit and a fresh set of curls. She woke up every morning to do full hair and makeup just to lounge in the recliner. Most of my life she wore red acrylic nails that she’d sit and shape with her emery board in said recliner. Mamaw’s house is one of my favorite places to be, more specifically her pink bathroom. Every inch of that bathroom is engraved in my brain. The bumpy pink linoleum floors that make her vanity chair rumble when you pull it out. The pink cabinets, the pink wall tile coated in cheap hair spray, the pink bathtub, and the same combs she used my entire life.. Growing up she would always let me style her hair. Eventually I got my license and I started to cut it. I was nervous, because if anyone was going to shoot it to you straight it was her. Lucky for me she kept me on staff for over 10 years. It’s sad to think that I’ll never get to sit in that bathroom and laugh with her while I curl her hair again, but I’ll always think of those times we shared. Mamaw was simply the best. She loved her husband, her kids, her grandkids, cooking for anyone, a crisp Dr.Pepper, and a honey bun. I will miss her more than I can say, but until we meet again she’ll always be with me🩷

Real footage of me crawling out of the salon today, but we made it folks! First time in my career I’m taking off Christmas to New Years and I’m not even sure what to do with myself. Feel like I’m surely breaking some type of rule.. However I am very excited for some R&R! See you in the new year Golden girlies🩷

Gobble gobble Golden girlies🍗 Y’all already know the drill! Happiness begins with gratitude and today I am grateful for… No, but really there’s so much to be grateful for. Feelin full of gratitude and lots of carbs this Thanksgiving! Thankful for my family, friends, clients, and even my haters. It’s hard to find the good in everything, but it’s damn near always there if you look hard enough! That heartbreak meant you once loved hard. Full work schedules, but you once wished you had more income. Grocery bill higher than Willie, but your fridge is full. Black Friday lines long as hell, but you’re buyin a flat screen sis. It’s easy to get caught up in the woe is me.. However, life is hard enough. Let’s not make it any harder. So live, laugh, love it up baby. See y’all back at the salon for some more holiday hair! Xoxo
