Nope. It can be hard setting a boundary with family, And it just might save your life.
“The difficult relative.”
No, I just stopped staying quiet to keep everyone else comfortable.
The moment you stop tolerating disrespect, guilt trips, toxic behavior, or one sided relationships, suddenly you’re “hard to deal with.” But people who benefited from your lack of boundaries will almost always call boundaries a problem.
I’m not difficult.
I’m just no longer willing to abandon myself to make other people comfortable anymore.

Let’s celebrate and support mental health awareness month. We never truly know what anyone is going through. Be brave and stay kind.
Most of us were never taught how to have boundaries…without losing love. We were taught to be agreeable. How to accommodate. How to read the room and adjust ourselves accordingly. This class is about coming back to our ourselves in a way that is true to our needs and wants. It’s about learning to step into relationship without abandoning ourselves. It’s about wholeness. It’s about stopping abandonment that leads to exhaustion, shut-down, and resentment. Join us May 17th and become a Boundary Boss. Link in bio.
Safe spaces are important and a must. So that our nervous systems can down regulate, we can breathe easy and do the good work of finding ourselves again.
You don’t have to stop being kind to stop being drained. You just have to stop leaving yourself out of the equation. Boundaries are how you stay in it and stay yourself. Link in bio
When you don’t set boundaries, it doesn’t just disappear. It shows up somewhere else. In resentment. In exhaustion. In overthinking. In feeling taken advantage of. In feeling like you’re giving too much. Boundaries are just about other people. They’re about your relationship with yourself. And when that relationship is strained, everything else starts to feel heavier. Unspoken boundaries don’t disappear they’re into something else. Your deserve something steadier.
