Aside from a good shampoo, the foundation of every great blowout starts with the rough dry! I always tell my students that hair should be about 60-80% dry before you ever pick up a round brush. One of the biggest mistakes I see is people rough drying by blowing the hair all over the place. That’s how you create frizz! Instead, direct the airflow at a diagonal angle (on low-medium heat) down the hair shaft and use your hands…not a brush to control the hair as you dry it.
