DEAR PEOPLE WHO NEED TO KNOW;

Life is being well lifey right now. So let me explain. And then explain. More before there is any confusion or jumped to conclusions.

I am currently in between shops. I absolutely loved my time at Not Your Average Tattoo Shop and have mad respect for the owners. But life happened. And we had to part ways. There is by no means bad blood on either side.

That being said, yes I am still a tattoo artist. I plan to get on my feet very quickly. I will continue my unfinished pieces first. And make your appointments my priorities. As soon as I have a new location I will make everyone aware of it.

Life happens. Things happen. Especially in my journey. I mean. If you have been following me for the last 2 years you know that's a fact.

But I'm resilient. And I am hitting the ground running...

Trigger Warning: Cancer
So I’ve kept this quiet for some time now… because the C word scares people. And after going through what my family had gone through with my mom, I didn’t want to draw attention or worry anyone.

Back in February I had a leap/Top hat procedure done to remove cancer and pre-cancer cells off of my cervix. This was a very emotional time for me and especially my dad. I remember him vividly saying “After this, you’re not allowed to come back here. I’ve spent too much time in this place.” Talking about the oncology wards. And that broke my heart.

Today I had my follow up appointment to make sure they got everything and that nothing had come back! And I am happy to say there are no more pre-cancer cells or Cancer Cells in my body! I’m Cancer Free!

Remember why we’re celebrating. It’s not because of rainbows and to flaunt our best outfits. It’s because of the hate and injustice our people endured during the stone wall riots and prior to then. The injustice some of us still suffer today.
Remember not everyone is OUT! So don’t assume they are! It may not be safe for them to be out to their families or at work so be safe and wait for them to open up to you in a public scenario!
Remember you don’t have to party to have a good time! And don’t pressure others into drinking or doing drugs! If they are sober let them be proud and sober!
And Finally Remember to Be SAFE! Unfortunately there is still hate and homophobia in this world. So stay safe out there and enjoy our month!!!
