Last night’s ’Take Flight’ party officially started the wind down at 3122. I have spent so many nights cleaning up SkinOwl parties with my team - sweeping up glitter and flower petals, putting lip gloss and face oils back onto the table that served a salad bar an hour before, and taking out trash that proved it was a damn good party.

I moved slowly through last night’s cleanup, taking it all in, marking the part of this journey that now has space to feel all the needed feelings. I’ll have a lot to say before we hand over our keys in a few weeks but today (as I sit on my living room couch on Mother’s Day before anyone else is awake) I just want to say thank you and I love you. Thank you to every soul who came to SkinOwl yesterday, from near and far. You showed up for me and this store and love was in the room once again.

3122 has been my second home and my hope as we go into our next chapter is that you, our family, felt loved in this space. That you found a piece of yourself you thought was missing in this space. That you felt joy or release in this space. I say that bc I sure did 🥹

Let’s bring it home, birdies. Hope to see more of your faces through the end of this month. Yesterday was nothing short of perfect.

All my heart,
Annie xx

Special gratitude to .pour.boise for the most gorgeous champagne offering, our friends at for sending people home with a parting stem, and to .fm for closing out this space with us with music from your heart to ours.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the mama birds out there today. Love you all ❤️

REAL TALK | Over the last few weeks, I’ve shared a lot about closing the SkinOwl storefront and stepping into a new chapter. And honestly, the amount of love, trust, excitement, and support I’ve felt from this community has meant more to me than I’ll probably ever be able to put into words. But like every coin, there’s been another side to this experience that I have decided is worth sharing.

I told myself I wanted the opportunity to have ONE honest conversation about what this season has actually felt like behind the scenes. Because I think women deserve more honest conversations about what it emotionally costs to make changes in public.

Today on the podcast, I talk about the “other side” of my experience closing SkinOwl in Bown Crossing — what it emotionally feels like to move through such a public transition while also navigating some people’s feelings, fears, attachment, questions, and projections in real time. My hope in sharing this is that people walk away remembering that no one is immune to scrutiny, pressure, projection, or emotional weight.

Laurie helped me process out loud:

• the grief people feel when something familiar changes
• the pressure to explain yourself before you’re ready
• how women can become projection screens during seasons of reinvention
• and how hard it can be to honor your own timing while people ask for certainty

To those questioning, fearing, or simply trying to understand this transition through their own lens: I get it.

Your fear is my fear. I’m scared of next chapters too.
Your sadness is my sadness. It’s bittersweet to leave 3122 too.
Your uncertainty is my uncertainty. This next chapter is uncharted territory for me too.

This was not an easy conversation but an important one. Thank you to my SkinOwl community for standing by me and supporting a woman’s truth and evolution. And thank you to .reynoldson for the space to speak honestly about all sides of change. The next chapter is bright and this conversation only helped confirm that.
