Special Announcement: Meet 50 Under 50 Honoree Jasheika Dennis

We are proud to recognize Jasheika Dennis as one of this year’s Rutledge-Anderson 50 Under 50 Award Honorees!

An educator, mentor, and entrepreneur, Jasheika is making a lasting impact by empowering students, supporting educators, and creating pathways for individuals and families to succeed.

Based in Shreveport, Louisiana, Jasheika is a dedicated Special Education Inclusion Teacher and mentor teacher who is passionate about creating inclusive learning environments where every student can thrive. She works tirelessly to support students with diverse learning needs while also mentoring fellow educators to strengthen instructional practices and student success.

A proud single mother to her 17-year-old son, Jasheika leads with resilience, compassion, and purpose—modeling the very values she instills in her students and community.

In recognition of her excellence in education, she was named J. S. Clark Elementary School’s 2020 Teacher of the Year and has been nominated as a 40 Under 40 Emerging Leader, highlighting her impact and leadership within her profession.

Beyond the classroom, Jasheika serves as Financial Aid Director at VH Barber & Styling Academy, where she helps students navigate resources and opportunities that allow them to pursue career training and build brighter futures.

She is also the owner of Bountiful Destinations Travel Company and serves as a Tax Professional with AR Financial Tax Services, helping individuals and families plan, prepare, and position themselves for financial success.

Known for her professionalism, integrity, and servant leadership, Jasheika Dennis continues to lead with excellence, passion, and purpose—uplifting lives across education, business, and her community.
