Palo Santo is one of my favorite smells in this universe. I long ago lost the stick to this beautiful Guiro, but froggie now functions as my Palo Santo holder. Palo Santo is a South American sacred wood used much in the same way as sage is used in smudging, but she also has antiseptic and antiinflammatory properties, which makes her great for your skin. I infused shavings of mine in Apricot Kernel oil for a body oil that delights both mind and skin. And don't worry: she's harvested from fallen trees

SPOTLIGHT ON ROOIBOS! This South African beauty is heavy in antioxidants and carries trace amounts of copper, manganese, zinc, potassium, and iron. The combination of minerals and an array of antioxidants within make this gal a wonder for dry skin, which is why my lotion bars are based on a rooibos avocado oil infusion, pictured here.

Matcha Latte Powdered Face Wash (and Mask)! I just mixed this little one up a couple weeks ago and my skin is loving me for it! Made with organic whole milk powder, matcha, organic marshmallow root powder, and organic aloe vera powder for all skin types! The latte is gentle, moisturizing, and a controller of excess oils. This here's an incredibly simple recipe: whipped coconut oil and licorice root for red, angry, flaky, discolored skin. Thus far, this is the only thing that has consistently shown results for my husband's psoriasis. I'm currently working on a formula that won't melt into straight oil in the summer heat or become a hard rock in the cold.
