Gemini season reminds us that we don't have to be the same person we were yesterday.
A new haircut. A fresh color. A product that changes how your hair feels. A new fragrance or lip color. A new way of seeing yourself.
One of my favorite ideas from Elizabeth Gilbert's The Way of the River is that life is meant to move. Rivers don't cling to what was upstream, and neither do we. Change isn't something to fear—it's something to flow with.
Maybe that's why I love this season.
In the salon, transformation happens every day. Sometimes it's a dramatic makeover. Sometimes it's simply finding the products that help you feel more like yourself. Either way, growth begins when we give ourselves permission to evolve.
Here's to curiosity, change, and becoming.

What does it really mean to learn behind the chair?
At Kantor & Company Academy, our apprentices don't just study hair—they live it. They learn through real client experiences, hands-on mentorship, daily practice, and meaningful connections with the people they serve.
Every haircut, color formula, consultation, and challenge becomes an opportunity to grow. It's a slower, deeper, more immersive way of learning the craft, and we're incredibly proud of the artists these apprentices are becoming.
A special shout-out to Stella who helps guide and teach alongside Leen, and to our beloved Bunny 🐾, who takes her role as Academy morale officer and teacher's aide very seriously.
The future of our industry is being shaped one apprentice at a time, and we couldn't be more excited to be part of that journey.
