๐ Shelby Johnston
Join us in congratulating Shelby Johnston, a Hilltopper from Franklin, KY, graduating with a major in Mathematics with a concentration in Secondary Education and a major in Middle Grades Mathematics.
โThe best part of my WKU experience has been how much Iโve grown through both the learning and the support of my professors. They consistently push you to succeed, not just academically, but in ways that prepare you for your future career and life beyond college. Because of that, Iโve gained not only valuable knowledge and skills for teaching, but also confidence, resilience, and a stronger sense of purpose that I know will carry with me moving forward.โ
๐ฏ Whatโs next for Shelby?
โI will be teaching in a middle school math classroom, school to be determined. Additionally, I will be starting my master's at WKU this summer in Teacher Leadership, with the goal of obtaining a doctorate one day. โ
