☀️ SUMMER HAIR CARE TIPS: Protect Your Crown This Season 🩵

Summer can be beautiful, but it can also be rough on your hair if you’re not careful. Heat, sweat, chlorine, salt water, and too much product buildup can leave your scalp irritated and your strands dry.

Here are a few ways to protect your hair this summer:

• Cleanse your scalp regularly — sweat, oils, and product buildup can clog the scalp and make your hair feel heavy.
• Hydrate before you style — don’t put braids, wigs, or sew-ins over dry, thirsty hair.
• Protect your ends — trims matter because split ends do not take a summer vacation.
• Be careful with tight styles — protective should not mean painful. Your edges and scalp still need love.
• Cover your hair in the sun — hats, scarves, and satin-lined protection can help reduce dryness.
• Rinse after swimming — chlorine and salt water can dry the hair out fast, so don’t let them sit too long.

Before you jump into your summer “protective style,” this is your reminder: protective styles protect best when the hair underneath is healthy, clean, and trimmed.

🌿 MAY FOCUS: Summer Prep Reset (Deep Cleanse + Treatment + Trim) 🩵
Think of this as your “foundation appointment” before braids, twists, sew-ins, wigs, or any long-term style.

1) Deep Cleanse (Scalp + Hair Reset)
A lot of us use amazing products—oils, gels, edge control, dry shampoo—and if we only use gentle sulfate-free shampoos, we may not be getting a deep enough cleanse. Build-up can block moisture, irritate the scalp, and make your hair feel dull or heavy. A proper cleanse gives your scalp room to breathe and helps your hair respond better to moisture and styling. 🩵

2) Treatment (Moisture + Strength)
Before you tuck your hair away, we want to strengthen it and restore hydration so it can handle summer heat, sweat, and manipulation. 🩵

3) Trim (Length Protection)
A trim doesn’t stop growth—it helps you keep your length by preventing split ends from traveling up the hair shaft. Healthy ends = better retention. 🩵
