Felicity Loves Hair

Today is day 1 of the 45th Hair Aid International project and this time we are in Cambodia. Our teams have arrived; some have travelled TWO whole days through timezones to get here, and all 18 of the team are now here. I am always grateful for the dedication of our volunteers, who give up so much, who fundraise, who self fund, who rearrange their lives, who care, and who so humbly give so much of themselves so they can help others. In out team we have returning Alumni Hair Aid volunteers, and these are leading hands in our locations, mentoring our new volunteers, so that everyone's journey is supported and protected, and fabulous. Never did I think that bumping into 2 Nuns in a bar in Manila over 11 years ago would result in an International charity that does so much. Hair Aid has now trained more than 6,700 people in 5 different counties and this week we add to this tally. Today's photo is of a local home/business situated in Siem Reap. It shows the harshness of what people endure here. Hair Aid changes lives by providing new opportunities for those who seek change. Humbled is the word of today for me.
