This month’s featured IV infusion is our Meyer’s-inspired nutrient blend. 💧🌿
It includes:
Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C) — supports antioxidant defense, collagen production, and normal immune function
Vitamin B12 — supports red blood cell formation and normal nervous system function
B-Complex — supports cellular energy metabolism and multiple essential biochemical processes
Magnesium Chloride — supports normal muscle, nerve, and metabolic function
IV nutrient therapy should always be individualized based on your health history, current needs, medications, and treatment goals.

Ever wonder why Dr. Turner asks about your sleep when you came in for hormones... or your digestion when your biggest concern is fatigue?
Because the body doesn’t work in separate boxes.
Sleep, stress, digestion, blood sugar, thyroid function, hormones, nutrient status, medications, and lifestyle can all influence how you feel-and sometimes the connection isn’t obvious until we look at the whole picture.
At Root Cause Functional Family Medicine, those “random” questions are helping us identify patterns, connect the dots, and better understand what may be contributing beneath the surface.
The questions aren’t random. They’re part of finding the why.
Not sure where to start? Complimentary consultations are available.

Menopause affects far more than periods and hot flashes—and new research is giving us a closer look at what may be happening beneath the surface. 🧠
A 2026 study published in Nature Medicine found that the menopause transition was associated with measurable changes in blood proteins related to inflammation, metabolism, brain and synaptic function, biological aging, and Alzheimer’s-related pathways. Some of these patterns tracked more strongly with hormonal changes than with chronological age.
Researchers also found that menopause-related protein patterns were associated with less favorable cognitive aging in older women.
But this is important: menopause does NOT mean dementia is inevitable. Most women who experience menopause do not develop dementia, and this study does not prove that menopause directly causes Alzheimer’s disease. Instead, researchers suggest menopause may represent an important window for better understanding—and potentially supporting—long-term brain health.
At Root Cause Functional Family Medicine, we believe menopause care should extend beyond managing hot flashes. Brain health, cardiovascular health, metabolism, sleep, inflammation, nutrition, and hormones all deserve attention during this transition.
Menopause isn’t the end of the health conversation. It may be one of the most important times to have it. 🤍

Feeling stressed doesn’t always mean you need another supplement. Sometimes, supporting your nervous system starts with what’s on your plate.
Foods rich in healthy fats, fiber, magnesium, B vitamins, polyphenols, and quality protein can help support brain health, the gut-brain connection, steady energy, and normal neurotransmitter production.
Think leafy greens, blueberries, avocado, walnuts, fermented foods, wild salmon, eggs, and fiber-rich plants.
Of course, food is only one piece of the puzzle. Sleep, blood sugar balance, hormones, thyroid health, gut health, nutrient status, and chronic stress can all influence how resilient your body feels.
At Root Cause Functional Family Medicine, we look at the whole picture not just one symptom or one “superfood.”
You can be doing “all the right things” and still not feel like yourself.
Eating well. Sleeping enough. Exercising. Taking your supplements. Getting told your labs look “normal.” And yet... you’re still exhausted, foggy, bloated, unmotivated, or just feeling off.
Sometimes the answer isn’t to try harder.
Sometimes it’s to ask better questions.
At Root Cause Functional Family Medicine, we look at the patterns behind your symptoms-nutrition, hormones, thyroid health, nutrient status, metabolism, gut health, sleep, stress, and more to better understand what may be contributing.
Because “normal” doesn’t always mean optimal for you.

PCOS/PMOS doesn’t always look the same from one person to the next.
For some, insulin resistance may play a major role. For others; androgen excess or chronic low-grade inflammation may be more prominent-and these patterns can overlap.
That’s why treatment shouldn’t be one-size-fits-all.
At Root Cause Functional Family Medicine, we look at the bigger picture, including blood sugar regulation, hormones, ovulation, thyroid health, inflammation, nutrient status, gut health, sleep, and stress to better understand what may be driving your symptoms.
The goal isn’t just to manage PCOS symptoms. It’s to understand your pattern and build care around it.

Men’s health is about more than testosterone. 💪
Changes in urinary habits, sexual function, energy, muscle mass, or performance can sometimes be early clues that something deserves a closer look.
Conditions like BPH, Peyronie’s disease, erectile dysfunction, and low testosterone can affect quality of life—but they can also overlap with broader concerns involving cardiovascular health, metabolism, sleep, hormones, medications, and stress.
At Root Cause Functional Family Medicine, we look beyond the symptom alone to understand the bigger picture and help determine what may be contributing.
Don’t normalize feeling “off.” Get curious about the why.

Chronic inflammation doesn’t always show up as obvious swelling or pain. Sometimes, the clues are more subtle—like persistent fatigue, brain fog, digestive changes, joint stiffness, skin concerns, or changes in weight and metabolic health.
These symptoms don’t automatically mean inflammation is the cause, but they may be worth looking at in the context of your overall health.
At Root Cause Functional Family Medicine, we look at the bigger picture—including nutrition, gut health, sleep, stress, hormones, metabolic health, and lifestyle—to better understand what may be contributing beneath the surface.
Because managing symptoms is important, but understanding why they’re happening can be even more valuable.
