First of all can we take a moment for this AMAZING head of hair?! 😍 The natural color, the thickness… seriously, who has hair this gorgeous at just 11 years old?!

I’ve had the pleasure of knowing this sweet girl’s mama for practically my entire life. She reached out because they had been struggling to get her daughter’s hair to cooperate. Based on everything she described, I had a feeling we were dealing with buildup which is SO incredibly common at this age!

Between hormones, swimming, hard water, trying different products, and simply learning how to properly wash thick hair (which isn’t always easy for a pr***en!), buildup can leave hair feeling heavy, sticky, dull, frizzy, and dry.

We started by clarifying her hair, then followed with a professional-strength chelating treatment under heat for 20 minutes to remove product buildup, hard water minerals, chlorine, and everything else weighing it down.
