Hi!! I’m Tess. 😊 I’ve always had a passion for hair since middle school. I’d be the girl styling mine or someone else’s hair in the back of class. Or destroying my parents bathroom coloring hair until I taught myself how to do be thorough without making a mess. 😂

When I finally got to hair school after years of job hopping thinking I could never make hair my career and make enough money, I knew it was where I was meant to be and my teachers thought so too. After 8 months of working part time at wegmans and going to school full time I finally graduated. It was time to begin my journey as a hairstylist.

I rented a chair for a year right out of hair school and it was such a great experience. I was surrounded by amazing people who were very experienced and taught me a lot and helped with my confidence in the salon environment. I had to move away and could not make the commute there and that was a very sad day but I was excited to see where my path was heading. I started working at a quick service salon and got to really focus on hair cutting especially men’s cuts. They gave me so much anxiety because I didn’t have much experience with them but after almost a year I’m so much more confident doing men’s cuts. It makes me feel like a more well rounded stylist.

I know I have so much more to learn and more of my story to tell but I hope this is the start of something great and I can’t wait to meet some new people and help them to look and feel their best!! 💕
