Silvano's Barbershop

Our Story

I started cutting hair at the age of 12 and by 12th grade I had my mothers kitchen turned into a Barbershop. She used to always yell at me and say “Silvano what are you doing, we eat in here and there is hair all over my kitchen” (sorry mom). After graduating high school, I followed my passion and decided to attend barbering School. At the age of 19, I opened up my first Barbershop. I had no idea what I was doing; no education in marketing, accounting, or business. The only thing I was sure of is, I knew how to give a great haircut. My second year of business I became so busy that I had to find help but there was one issue, I couldn't find anybody who could cut hair the way I do. I was left with one choice and that was to bring other people into the shop and teach them the fundamentals that go along with being a barber. With all the triumphs and tribulations of what to do and what not to do, it landed us here where we are today. My closest friend Lu, who has been with me from the start and whom has helped grow the shop into what it is today, is now the heart and soul of the Barbershop (Thanks Lu). I would also like to acknowledge Martin, who has been with us for 8+ years, for his excellence and skills that he brings to the barbershop. After teaching barbering in an accredited Barbering school, I now have former students who work here and strive for nothing but the best. Something that started out as 2 friends running a business has amounted to 6 full time barbers in our beautiful village. I thank you for taking the time to read Our Story and I hope that when you walk into the barbershop you feel part of our family, the way you have made us feel part of yours.
