And no, the goal isn’t to remove everything as quickly as possible.

It’s all about control: the thickness of the product, the pressure, the tool movement, and most importantly, constantly keeping an eye on the natural nail underneath. 💅🏻

Why does this matter?

Natural nails are made up of multiple layers of keratin. If you repeatedly file away not only the product but also the natural nail plate during removal, the nails can gradually become thinner, more sensitive and more prone to peeling.

That’s why a good nail technician doesn’t work with the mindset of “remove everything until the nail is completely bare at any cost.” They know how to recognize where the product ends and the natural nail begins, and choose the removal technique based on the condition of each individual nail.

Every nail is different, and sometimes the best technique is the one that protects what’s already there. ✨
