Things are heating up with my spore to face adventure!
The last few days I've been putting the substrate together that the Lion's Mane will be growing on, I've got to sterilize those bags for 3 hours in a pressure cooker at 15 psi.
After I let the bags cool overnight, I will inoculate the bag with the lion's mane spawn.

This is how a fresh bottle of Scurvy Dog vitamin C serum looks compared to older bottles.
Scurvy dog contains 15% ascorbic acid which is protected by many antioxidants in the formula but over time will succumb to its environment and start oxidizing. Once it starts oxidizing and turning more and more yellow it's losing it's potency. You've got about three or four months to use your bottle completely before it starts losing its potency.
The reason why Scurvy Dog starts out a baby blue color is because I use the amazing anti-inflammatory and antioxidant, yarrow oil, which is blue from chamazulene.

I recently started an ambitious project to create a new Surreal Skincare formula for barrier repair. it's going to feature lion's mane extract from mushrooms that I grow, process and extract myself right here in the surreal lab!
It's going to be a bit of a journey but I think it'll be very fruitful and all of our skin will benefit tremendously!
I've already ordered a lot of the gear and today I'm going to start making some test preparations.
Over the next few months I'll have some various versions of it and hope to release the final version using my own extracts from my own mushrooms sometime over the summer.
We will of course celebrate its release with a big mushroom happy hour party!

After 3 months of being offline, almost all products are available again on the website, now including Cheat Death.

Good news!! After 3 months of coagulating in the chrysalis, we are about to emerge!
Surreal is going to open up online ordering next week and will start shipping orders on Monday, February 23rd.
We will open up our new lab a few days a week to the public sometime in March and the grand opening party will follow soon after.
