Noordwyck Salon

After a decade of operating our seven-chair salon and storefront on Berry, we have now comfortably transitioned into our tranquil two-chair studio suite, conveniently located on Wythe and North 3rd, right in the vibrant heart of Williamsburg.
We currently have an opening for one stylist or colorist interested in renting a space but who may not be ready to commit to their own location yet. We offer four days a week, including nearly all Saturdays and weekends. The space has enough room for double booking and an assistant. Due to our previous location, we have both existing and new client overflow, making this an ideal opportunity for someone looking to elevate their career with minimal risk and stress! Candidates should have at least 5 to 10 years of experience in the industry.

Noordwyck Salon is excited to announce some major evolutions and changes to come this spring! 🌿
Our long-standing core team of stylists, who you know and love, have had major and exciting life changes both professionally and personally in recent times and on the horizon. Relocations, marriages, career developments and more which we celebrate wholeheartedly!

After ten incredible years we will be moving on to new locations and will be closing the space at 243 Berry Street at the end of May. Although we would love to work together in one space forever we are excited for the next steps of the journey.

Clara Purvis (Founder, Lead Stylist & Colorist) is continuing with the business and is opening Noordwyck Studio, an intimate, private salon space only three blocks away on Wythe Ave and North 3rd.
-The website and Instagram will remain the same
-After June 1 your appointments will simply be at the new location and the details will be included in 

The Team: You can continue to book with your stylists at Noordwyck Salon through May 21st. Please stay in close touch with them to follow their transitions and the exciting moves they are making. They will post their own updates on their Instagram in the coming weeks.

It has truly been an incredible ten years on Berry Street and we thank you for being a part of this amazing chapter. We are beyond grateful for the memories and the good times we all shared together in this special space, and most importantly for all the fabulous hairdos you trusted to us!

STAFF FEATURE: ROBYN STANLEY
CUT / COLOR 
Robyn hails from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In 2012, she moved to New York for a two-year apprenticeship in Soho, focusing on precision-based scissor and razor hair-cutting, and went on to travel around the U.S. teaching cutting classes at various salons. In 2019, Robyn joined the Noordwyck team as one of our cutting specialists and colorists, specializing in effortless textured haircuts and shags. She loves to create natural-looking highlights and balayage.  Oh, and she once won a Big Freedia dance competition in New Orleans on Halloween.
Favorite Williamsburg Activity:
* Taking fun, upbeat workout classes

* Trying new local restaurants and cocktail bars 

* Watching fancy dogs walk past the salon

As we continue to strive for excellence in providing you with the highest quality of services, we find ourselves facing increased costs in products and operational expenses.

To maintain the standard of service you have come to expect and love, we will be implementing a slight adjustment to our prices across the board, most are effective as of 11/02 (a few increases have been implemented already as our staff individually have regular increases either yearly or every 18 months to support their professional growth). These increase allow us to continue using premium products and care, and uphold the level of service you deserve.

STAFF HIGHLIGHT: CHARLIE CORSINI AKA MEGAN Born and raised in Queens and with years of extensive training, Charlie is one of our color specialists who works primarily with low-maintenance hair color. For lived-in looks, she loves adding pops of shimmer to brunettes and tasteful natural copper reds to redheads, and brightening up blondes. As a mother of identical twin boys in their toddler phase, it’s safe to say Charlie is a master of patience—and loves talking to adults. Favorite Williamsburg Activity:
* Shopping at her favorite stores Pinkyotto, Pema, and the Shoe Market. She can always find a gift for someone in the neighborhood’s boutiques with hand-made hidden gems (ask her for recs!)
