Long before downtown became what it is today, this family-owned gem was already bringing people together and providing a home for countless artists, dreamers, and friends.

Today, with the owner’s permission, we are sharing that El Hueso de Fraile is facing financial challenges. As a community, we are coming together in hopes of helping preserve a place that has given so much to Brownsville and to so many of us personally.

I recommend to make some time to clean your space today. Open the windows, sweep and declutter, mop your floors with Florida Water or cleansing herbs, and use sage, rosemary, incense, prayer, or sound to refresh the energy of your home.
