If you’ve ever had the pleasure of spending time with Graciel of The Soul in Bloom, you know what I mean when I say she’s something special.

She’s our wise woman. The kind of woman you want to pull up a chair next to, pour another cup of tea + just listen. Her knowledge of herbs, her stories, her warmth... I could spend hours with her.

And I’m pretty excited that we get to share an afternoon with her.

We’ll start with Graciel guiding us through creating our own customized herbal tea blends. She has such a beautiful way of sharing what she knows, and you’ll leave with something made just for you.

We’ll enjoy a light lunch, some good conversation + a moment to exhale before settling in for Facials with Friends. I’ll guide you through a self-facial, share a little skincare knowledge + give you some time to enjoy being on the receiving end of your own attention.

And we’re keeping this one analog. No phones, no photos. Just eight women around a table, making tea, washing our faces + enjoying each other’s company.

Remember when we could spend an entire afternoon together without taking a single picture? We’re doing that again.

Well, here we are... The last week of Spooky Season.

We've had our share of vampires, zombies + assorted creatures around the Big Orange House this month. And now somehow we're staring down November.

You know how this goes. One minute we're handing out Halloween candy, the next we're making Thanksgiving plans, shopping for gifts + trying to remember where we put the Christmas decorations.

And somewhere in all of that, we forget to put ourselves on the calendar.

So before the next two months get completely ridiculous, book yourself a little time.

A massage... a skin session... some brow maintenance. An hour when nobody needs anything from you.

Holiday self-care starts now. Because waiting until things slow down hasn't exactly worked out for most of us.

Feeling guilty for resting.

Trying to keep everybody happy.

Apparently being everybody’s emotional support human is exhausting. Who knew?

I’ve survived Noxzema, Sea Breeze + St. Ives Apricot Scrub. My face has been through enough. 💀

Believing I need to have it all figured out by now.

At 55, I’m still figuring things out. At least now I’ve got better company. 🖤

Turns out, at 55, I can just stop doing some of this s**t.

Hello... again from beautiful Asheville!

What an incredible few days.

I came here excited to learn more about facial massage + Manual Lymphatic Drainage, and I'm heading home with so much more than a notebook full of techniques.

It's been a beautiful reminder of how good it feels to step away from the usual routine, be the student again + give myself some room to think.

And I really needed that.

When you're busy taking care of people, running a business, keeping up with everything at home + trying to remember what you walked into the kitchen for, it's easy to get caught up in the day-to-day.

Being here has given me a chance to slow down, focus on something I genuinely love + look at a few things from a different perspective.

A little time to reframe. To remember why I started doing this work in the first place, and what I want more of moving forward.

The training itself has been incredible. So much hands-on learning, thoughtful conversation + a deeper appreciation for the work we do with our hands.

I'm excited to bring what I've learned back to my treatment room and share it with Ashley + Hannah. I have a feeling there will be a lot of facial massage happening at the Big Orange House in the coming weeks.
