Vitamin C = a skincare staple for a reason!

If you’re wanting brighter, smoother, more even-looking skin, Vitamin C is one of the best ingredients to add into your routine. It helps brighten dull skin, improve uneven skin tone, support healthy aging, and provide antioxidant protection against environmental damage. Basically… it’s your glow-boosting best friend 👀✨

The best part? There are so many different forms of Vitamin C, which means finding the right one for your skin type is so important. While Vitamin C can give amazing results, it can also be irritating for some people—especially sensitive skin. That’s why I always recommend starting slow! Try using it 2–3 times a week at first, then gradually increase as your skin adjusts.Consistency is key when it comes to skincare, and adding the right Vitamin C product can completely transform dull, uneven skin into a brighter, healthier glow.

Not sure which Vitamin C is best for your skin? Send me a DM—I’d love to help you find the perfect product and get your skin glowing! ✨

High Frequency is seriously underrated.

If you struggle with acne or occasional breakouts, adding high frequency into your routine can make such a difference. It helps target acne-causing bacteria, reduce inflammation, and support the healing process—all in just a few minutes, 2–3 times a week. One of my favorite things about high frequency is how simple and easy it is to use. It’s a quick addition to your routine that can help calm active breakouts and keep your skin looking healthier over time. Consistency is key! Of course, high frequency isn’t a “magic fix,” but when paired with the right skincare routine, it can be an amazing tool for acne-prone skin.

Not sure if high frequency is right for your skin or how to properly use it? Send me a DM—I’m always happy to help guide you toward products and treatments that work best for YOUR skin.

There are so many things they don’t tell you before beauty school and becoming licensed as an esthetician.

1. The beauty industry can be challenging—but also incredibly rewarding. Everyone’s journey looks different, and success doesn’t happen overnight. You’ll wear many hats: social media manager, marketer, educator, networker, and esthetician all at once. While there will always be people willing to help and support you, a lot of growth comes from pushing yourself and staying consistent.
2. Beauty school teaches you the foundation, but learning truly begins after graduation. Once you’re licensed, there’s still so much education, growth, and hands-on experience ahead of you. The best estheticians never stop learning.
3. The relationships you build with clients become one of the most meaningful parts of this career. Being trusted with someone’s confidence, self-care, and “me time” is something so special. The love and support from loyal clients will keep you motivated on even the hardest days.
4. The physical demands are REAL. Long days on your feet, waxing, brows, facials—it all adds up. Taking care of your posture, stretching, resting, and prioritizing your health is so important if you want longevity in this industry.
5. Building a clientele takes time and patience. Most clients won’t book immediately—they watch your socials, learn your personality, see your work, and build trust before ever lying on your table. Consistency matters more than perfection.

There are honestly so many more things I could add, but these are some of the biggest lessons I’ve learned so far. To all the future estheticians out there: keep going. This industry can challenge you, but it’s also so fulfilling and absolutely worth it. ✨

Did you know birth control can affect your skin? 👀

Some types can help with acne, while others may cause breakouts or changes in your skin. If you’ve noticed your skin changing after starting or stopping birth control, your hormones could be the reason.
I’m not a doctor, but as an esthetician I see how connected hormones and skin health can be. That’s why having the right skincare routine matters!

Have questions about hormonal acne or your skincare routine? Send me a DM!

Research shows that collagen production naturally starts slowing down in your mid-to-late 20s, which makes this the perfect time to start incorporating retinol into your skincare routine. But trust me—slow and steady wins the race with retinol. 🤍

Start with a low percentage (0.1%–0.3%) just 2–3 nights a week so your skin has time to adjust without becoming overly irritated. Once your skin builds tolerance, you can gradually increase usage until you’re able to use it nightly—and eventually increase strength if needed.

One thing I always tell my clients: retinol works best when you support your skin barrier. A rich moisturizer and daily SPF are non-negotiable to help prevent dryness, irritation, and sun damage while keeping your skin healthy and glowing. ✨

Retinol can be a game changer when used correctly, but everyone’s skin is different. If you’re unsure where to start, what product to use, or whether retinol is right for your skin, send me a DM! I’m always happy to help you create a routine that works for YOU.
