With the new year comes new opportunities for me!!!! I'm shifting my energy a bit and have the honor to be going full time at my other job! 💜

Ever wonder who invented the reclining shampoo chair? You can give Martha Matilda Harper all the credit. Born in 1857, Martha paved the way for huge innovations in both beauty and business thanks to her hair salon, the Harper Hair Parlour.

With her salon, Martha enabled poor servant girls and factory girls to transform their lives. She dictated that poor women would open the first 100 salons, making her a pioneer in social entrepreneurship and modern franchising.
