• Blonding Journey. • What Is That? •
•
• A “ Blonding Journey “ is a saying hairstylists use to explain the process of lightening the hair. It is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT for not only hairstylists but for the guests as well to understand this process. The process of lightening the hair is fantastic, however there are some things to always keep in mind.
•
• 1. The hairstylist,( a.k.a. Me ) will always thoroughly inspect the hair. This is to make sure that the hair is in a proper state to begin the lightening journey.
• 2. Once the lightening process has begun, the hair is going to process through multiple levels of colors ( the hair will begin to lighten ). Depending on the starting level, the hair will go through multiple colors. red , red - orange , orange , orange - yellow , yellow , pale yellow. ( a.k.a. Brassiness )
• 3. I can only lift the hair as fast as it is willing to lift. ( typically 2 - 4 levels per session ). This is the Journey! — ENJOY IT!
•
• Here I am showing ‘s finished 2ND SESSION. As you can see, after 2 sessions we were able to lift her hair from brown - red to a naturally warm blonde. After her next session she will truly be a healthy, dimensional, & bright blonde.

• I know sometimes when you guys hear me talk about toning the hair, you sometimes don’t fully understand what it is and what it does. Let me explain!
• 1. They legitimately neutralize ( remove brassiness ) pre - Lightened hair. ( highlights , Babylights , balayage , etc )
• 2. They blend the hair. ( create dimension )
• 3. They shadow the hair. ( create depth )
• 4. They melt the hair. ( create smudginess & softness )

• My average guest typically wants 1 of several types of transitional color. This means much more then just “ a few foils “ are needed to reach the desired outcome!
• When more time, products, techniques, processes, etc are performed, the more final ticket increases!
