🌿 Yes… I Have An Invisible Illness & I Am Trying My Best 🌿

You may not always see it…
But some of us are fighting battles inside our bodies every single day. 🤍

I hide my swollen legs from you.
I hide my swollen arms from you.
I hide the pain in my joints from you.
I hide the exhaustion that follows me everywhere.
I hide the brain fog.
I hide the inflammation.
I hide the anxiety that comes with never fully knowing how my body will feel tomorrow.

Some days I smile while silently feeling like my body weighs a thousand kilograms.
Some days getting out of bed feels like climbing a mountain.
Some days I cancel plans because my body simply cannot keep up.
And some days I push through while my nervous system is completely overwhelmed.

🌿 Living with autoimmune conditions, chronic inflammation, lymphatic dysfunction, thyroid disease, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, endometriosis, invisible pain disorders and many chronic illnesses can feel incredibly lonely — because people often only believe what they can SEE.

But invisible does NOT mean imaginary.
Invisible does NOT mean lazy.
Invisible does NOT mean weak.

Sometimes the strongest people are the ones quietly surviving battles nobody else can see. 🩷

To the person wearing long sleeves to hide swelling…
To the person wearing compression garments in silence…
To the person constantly checking food labels…
To the one managing medications, exhaustion, appointments, pain and emotional overwhelm behind closed doors…

I see you.
And I am proud of you for continuing. 🌿

Both count.
