This past week was filled with so many highs and lows. My husband took off to St. Louis last Thursday to work the Tattoo Convention.
On the last day, after we had packed our gear and were returning to the hotel room for the night, we received a call from our dear friend Amber who had been taking care of our kitties while we were gone.

The second slide ⚠️which maybe upsetting to watch⚠️ was Toe on Sunday night. 💔
We were FaceTiming Amber trying to figure out what to do. I called the emergency pet line that directed us to VSS in Manchester. They recommended he be seen immediately. Amber had administered the emergency seizure medicine (big brave) our vet gave us and packed up to meet us half way.

About two hours later. We got him to the hospital. It was probably around 2:30-3am. We were exhausted and worried but we knew he was in good hands. The staff all loved Toe🥰
Over the next three days, Cameron and I waited around the area for calls of updates from the Doctor. The first call we received was the discovery of his high red blood cell count. The following days were a series of tests to w**d out all potential causes. Luckily, all the tests came back with good news. No cancer or tumors. No abnormalities of the heart. Just too much blood🥺

We finally got to pick him up Wednesday evening ✨🥹
They prescribed hydoxyurea, which is a type of chemotherapy medication. It is supposed to help slow the production of red blood cells. We were told he’d most likely need to be on it the rest of his life💔 We’re hopeful he will be able to recover and not rely on chemotherapy his whole life ❤️‍🩹

In conclusion; we’re going through a lot right now. We had so much fun and met so many new friends at the convention. Amber is the best kitty mom and auntie. We are SO grateful for everyone who has reached out, helped and been there for us. We appreciate you so much! I’ll be taking time off of social media for a mental break and recovery.❤️‍🩹 If you’d like to set something up with me, you can use the jot form in my bio or call the salon.
