She had mainly dark ends, so we lightened up almost all the ends. One side was also brighter than the other so we evened it out and added more to the other side with less. And we wanted a cut that showed off her features a little more, so we cut a bit off and did some soft layering to give her some volume and movement.

- Everyone’s density is different, I put a custom amount on each row according to what works best with your natural
-I don’t believe in overloading one row just for fullness and length if I don’t think your natural hair will be able to hold it.
-My end goal is to always put the health of your natural hair first, and then adding extensions safely is second

I loved having Kayla in my chair (: She told me she had years of Black Permanent hair color on her hair and wanted to go lighter. We talked about how it could possibly lift red, orange, yellow… (I don’t always know until I start the process). She seemed on board with this being a process and she wanted to keep the health and integrity of the hair. Which is 🤌🏽🤌🏽🤌🏽.

Her hair ended up with this result after the first session and we couldn’t be happier!! Her hair lifted better than I thought (it doesn’t always go this way but she took very good care of her hair which helps).

I can’t wait for her next session and what that one will look like(: and also I just felt so happy with how realistic she was and how she was willing to work with me on her hair goals. I Just wanted to share a good experience with y’all. And hopefully shed some light on sometimes, as hairstylists, we don’t know the outcome until we see it mid hi light. And that’s okay as long as we COMMUNICATE that. And find an end result to compromise on if needed.

& back combed for some extra fluff + volume
