PART 2: KEYTRUDA, DRY MOUTH & A REAL TREATMENT SESSION
Many of you watched Part 1 of Megan’s story. In Part 2, you’ll see an actual treatment session as we address one of the lingering challenges she experienced following cancer treatment: severe dry mouth and dry eyes.
Using advanced osteopathic and neurological manual therapy techniques, I work with structures involved in saliva and tear production, including cranial nerves and autonomic nervous system pathways that help regulate glandular function.
One of the most interesting parts of this session is that Megan begins noticing changes while treatment is taking place.
This video offers a behind-the-scenes look at advanced neurological manual therapy and how we approach complex cases involving the nervous system, lymphatic system, cancer recovery support, headaches, TMJ, and chronic health challenges.
Thank you to Megan for allowing her journey to be shared so others can learn from her experience.

Nerve manipulation combined with nerve drainage for improved CSF and lymph is so gentle and amazingly powerful! I’ve been getting great results with my clients for pain relief and improved function.
🧠 Exciting research in PNAS reveals that cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) may travel along peripheral nerves to organs throughout the body, creating a direct brain-body communication pathway.
These findings align with the principles of CranioSacral Therapy and Neural Manipulation, which focus on supporting CSF flow and nerve function to promote health and balance throughout the body.

REAL STORIES. REAL RELIEF.
When Holly first came to see me, she was struggling with painful breast cysts, breast tenderness, chronic inflammation, bladder issues, sleep disturbances, long COVID symptoms, and the challenges of perimenopause.
After being referred by her functional medicine doctor, we created a customized treatment plan using Manual Lymphatic Drainage, breast therapy, vagus nerve techniques, neurological manual therapy, and other specialized approaches.
Today, Holly is sharing her experience in her own words.
One of the things I love most about my work is helping people discover options they didn’t know existed.
Watch Holly’s story and hear what changes she experienced after treatment.
Have you ever heard of lymphatic drainage or vagus nerve work before? Let me know in the comments.

What should proper lymphatic drainage actually feel like during cancer treatment and recovery?
In this second part of our talk, Megan Rogers shares her personal experience navigating breast cancer treatment, chemotherapy recovery, inflammation, pain, and healing — and how finding the right healthcare team completely changed her experience.
Unfortunately, “lymphatic drainage” has become a buzzword online, and many techniques being promoted on social media are not true manual lymphatic drainage. Proper lymphatic drainage is gentle, specific, precise, and should be performed by someone with appropriate advanced training.
In this conversation, we discuss:
• Chemotherapy recovery
• Breast cancer healing
• Oncology massage
• Lymphedema awareness
• Proper lymphatic drainage techniques
• Why deep aggressive massage is inappropriate during active cancer treatment
• Functional medicine and holistic support
• Why proper lymphatic training matters
Megan also shares her personal experience with pain during chemotherapy and how light-touch lymphatic work helped support her healing journey.
If you are currently undergoing cancer treatment or recovering from chemotherapy, it is extremely important to work with providers who are properly trained in oncology massage and lymphatic drainage.

I’m honored to be part of Megan Shae Rogers’ healthcare team as she navigates her breast cancer journey. 💗
In this video, we’re sharing a behind-the-scenes look at the work we’ve been doing to support her recovery—from lymphatic drainage after chemo to neurological work and preparing her body for surgery.
Most people have no idea how critical the lymphatic system is during and after cancer treatment. If lymph flow isn’t supported, healing can be slower, swelling can increase, and the body has to work that much harder to recover.
We also talk about something that doesn’t get enough attention—doing lymphatic work BEFORE surgery. Getting the system moving ahead of time can make a real difference in how the body responds and heals.
Megan’s progress has been incredible, and even better—we’re seeing measurable changes to back it up. That’s the kind of work that matters.
If you or someone you love is going through cancer treatment or preparing for surgery, make sure you’re working with someone properly certified in lymphatic drainage for cancer by a program approved by the Lymphology Association of North America. It’s not all the same—and it matters.

This content is for educational and informational purposes only and is not intended as medical advice. Results may vary. Always consult with your physician or qualified healthcare provider before beginning any new treatment, especially following cancer diagnosis, surgery, or medical procedures. Manual lymphatic drainage should be performed by a properly trained and qualified therapist, particularly in cases involving cancer, lymphedema, or post-surgical care.
05/01/2026
When lymphedema is cancer-related, most physicians are much more aware of it. There are established protocols, referrals, and a clearer path for care.
But when it’s not cancer-related?
That’s where things fall apart.
Non-cancer-related lymphedema—and other lymphatic issues like chronic swelling, post-surgical fluid retention, inflammation, or unexplained “puffiness”—are often missed, dismissed, or misunderstood.
Patients hear things like:
“It’s just swelling.”
“Lose weight.”
“Nothing to worry about.”
Meanwhile… the lymphatic system is struggling, and no one’s addressing it properly.
This isn’t about blame. It’s about training and exposure.
The reality is:
✔ Lymphedema is not always cancer-related
✔ The lymphatic system impacts far more than most people realize
✔ Proper treatment for lymphedema requires therapy from a certified lymphatic therapist trained by a program approved by the Lymphology Association of North America
And when it’s done right?
You can see real, measurable changes.
If you’ve been dealing with swelling, post-op recovery, or symptoms that aren’t adding up—there are answers. You just need someone who actually understands the lymphatic system beyond the basics.
