The question I have gotten a lot is: “What is next for my business?”
Connecting with my love of light hearted design and puns - I am happy to announce the launch of 😊
It’s a collection of fun tees, sweatshirts, and mugs! I have a Halloween collection up right now on the website: www.mcginndesignco.com (link is in the bio on mcginn design co page).
As much as I terribly miss doing hair and miss being at the salon, this is my way to let out some creative juices while staying connected.

I helped bring out my moms inner unicorn!! 🦄
🌈We started by lightening panels of her hair to a light blonde. We chose to go with peekaboo panels so it will be easier for her grow out since we live far away from each other.
🦄Next we have her a haircut with a few more low maintenance layers. Then it was on to the vivid colors, this part is tedious but worth it!
🌈Products used:
1. BlondeMe lightener with 20 volume and
2. Elumen. Since I flew in I didn’t bring all of my colors, just the primary tones and mixed to add more shades.
3. After care products are all We went with Vault shampoo to help protect her color and Velveteen Dream conditioner to help with frizz.

✨Minty Ocean Mermaid Hair ✨
🧜🏼♀️ What we did:
Back story, we have been doing blue hues for about a year. At her last appointment we tried a very dark blue and this round we lightened it back up for Spring. She is also growing her hair out from an all over vivid to a lived in color incorporating her natural hues. Today we did a highlight and balayage only where she had vivid color before. Then did an overlay of vivid!
🎨 Color:
Elumen
Blue: half TQ@all + PLmint@10
Panel: PLrose@10 into Clear + a few drops of KK@all
🌊 Products:
-Vault shampoo + The Kure conditioner for color protection and strengthening protein.
-The Wizard to help detangle and prep hair.
-Supernova as her blowdry balm and to smooth after her hair is try.
-Can’t forget about The Shield for heat protection and anti humidity. *Use this prior to any heat on wet and/or dry hair.

✨Silent Appointment ✨
I understand how challenging and draining the past couple of years has been for many. I want you to think of your hair appointment as a way to relax.
It is completely okay if you to want to just read your book, look at your phone, watch tiktoks, work on your laptop or just watch what I’m doing with your hair.
It is also completely okay to want to chat and catch up!
✨You can simply write “silent appointment” in the note section when you make your appointment or just let me know when you come in for your hair appointment.
✨The only thing I ask is to wear cordless earbuds when watching or listening to anything with noise. Since I work in a loft space, we need to be respectful to the others around us 😊

This is her beautiful natural white hair! We add panels of dark gray to keep movement and depth in her hair.
✨Color:
NB@4 + NA@2 + thickener
Sliced panels under her part line to keep it a nice and easy grow out.
✨Maintenance:
Every 8-12 weeks depending on the haircut she has at the time.
✨Products:
-Bust your brass shampoo to keep her natural hair light and clear (every few washes)
-Velveteen Dream conditioner to help reduce any frizz
-Supernova for her blowout (great for extra shine and takes flyaways!)
-The Shield spray on dry hair prior to using the 32mm wand (excellent heat protection and humidity shield).
