Just when it seemed like the fight had returned, he received life-changing news. For the second time in two years, Montell Jordan is officially cancer-free.

“Christmas Day we found out that we are undetected, cancer-free,” the “This Is How We Do It” singer shared. “We're finally at an all-clear and I feel fantastic.”
After first being diagnosed with stage 1 prostate cancer in early 2024 and undergoing surgery, follow-up scans later revealed it had returned at stage 2. He completed radiation treatment and got the joyful update in December 2025. “Standing in my home on Christmas Day, surrounded by my kids and my grandkids, to get the call… was surreal,” he said. “It’s almost unbelievable… but we’re super, super grateful.”

His wife, Kristin, says, “The couples that win are the ones that do it together.”
The couple says the journey strengthened their marriage, which is why they’re sharing their story today in honor of National Marriage Week, running Feb. 7–14 through Valentine’s Day.

Instead of forcing animals to endure harsh winters alone, this project recognizes that stray dogs are part of the community and deserve care.

The tunnels don’t just offer warmth, they offer dignity. They reduce the risk of hypothermia, illness, and winter fatalities, especially for older or injured dogs who are most vulnerable during cold months. It’s a reminder that small, thoughtful infrastructure can save lives.

This initiative is being praised by animal welfare advocates around the world as a model for humane urban planning. It shows what’s possible when compassion guides innovation, and how cities can protect their most vulnerable, even when they don’t have a voice.

Sometimes progress isn’t loud or political. Sometimes it’s simply choosing kindness when it matters most.
