Instead of her usual full blonde look we did this beautiful lived in look leaving a good amount of her natural and grey for a beautiful blend that will last and only need to be unkept every 6-9 months!

Have you ever been apart of a group of likeminded, smart, talented people that you don’t get to see often but are so lucky to call your friends???

That’s my family.

I have friends that I have connected with from all over the country through IBE. It’s one of the great parts of this community 🩷

I’m so ready to gather again 💁🏻‍♀️

Love to all my IBE peeps as you start putting out those holiday rows!!!

Ohhhh she blonde 🤍 I get to see her once every 9-12 months to freshen up her color. Being blonde doesn’t always need to be high maintenance!

When I graduated high school I had no idea what I wanted to do. I thought about hair school, but my dad thought I should think about that if college didn’t work out… which is no shame in that thought, I come from a family where everyone has college degrees. So I went to a tech school for CAD drafting… nope. Not it. Then I went to a local community college and walked on their track and soccer teams. I loved that time. I loved the people. I had no idea what I wanted to do so I was just blindly taking classes necessary for graduation with some business classes thrown in the mix. Then I tore my ACL in soccer season and had 3 knee surgeries which took me out of finals. Finally my dad said why don’t you go to hair school, I feel like you need to finish something for your self (I was depressed). Initially I thought, oh now it’s good enough, but once that bratty response went away I signed up for school at Toni & Guy Academy.

I felt imposter syndrome like no other initially. But over time I got better and better. Since hair school I cannot even begin to put into numbers how much continuing education I’ve put myself through, but last years number as an indication (over 25k) I’d say I’ve had as much if not more in my 18 years of hair as a masters degree.

I love my profession. I have a personality of wanting to better myself and my craft. I love the people who sit in my chair. I may not be a “cheap” hairstylist…. Because I’m a professional. And I mean that in every sense of the word. But I am a hairstylist who takes myself and my business seriously, and I take the health of my clients hair and scalps very seriously. And that is why I only offer the best for my people. Some see value in that- some people want cheap. If you’re the latter, I’m not your girl. And I’m ok with that!

This is where my journey has brought me. I don’t have a college degree. But I do have a masters degree in my profession. And in my career I’ll have multiple several times over. That’s my value 🩷💙🩵
