Part 2

My why……

My family and I lost my Aunt Hilda a little over 2 years ago now. My moms sister. Most definitely another mom to me. My Tia was the most giving and most kind person I’ve ever known. Those who knew her, would agree.
One great memory I had as a kid was all the school supplies she always had at her home. She would stock up and let me pick whatever I wanted whatever time of year it was. There was a couple times I remember being with her as she stocked up at local Target stores.
Her passing was, and still is, one of the biggest losses my family and I have gone through. Hilda will be forever missed!
My Tia is the reason why I wanted to give back to the community. As we approached her 1 year of passing (last year), I had the sudden motivation to put together a Back to School free haircuts and supplies for children in the community. It was a success! I since then have made a vow to host one every year around the anniversary of her passing. This years volunteers and donations were nothing short of amazing! Thanks again to everyone!
Ironically, when I got the phone call of her passing, when I felt the air punched out of my body, I was literally at Target with my husband and kids scanning school supplies at the self check out 🥺
To me, this is her legacy I will honor always. Thank you Tia Hilda for your love and great memories 💖

Hey!!! Who needs to have their kids hair cut before school and the struggle is real!? 🤪 Chandler schools return next Wednesday the 17th.
I’ve been a licensed practicing hair stylist for over 21 years. My husband has been cutting our sons and family’s hair for as long as I can remember. My oldest daughter has started cutting hair and will be pursuing a future doing so.
The 3 of us want to help out and give to the community by offering haircuts to students starting school next week at no cost!
One less thing to worry about while doing back to school preparation.
This hair cutting event will be held this Sunday off of Alma School and Chandler Blvd.
There will be little availability
