Summer Vibes!!! We are in our last two weeks of summer camp and this girl is refreshed and ready to go! We were able to get in a much needed beach vacation! There will be announcements on the store coming soon (my poor cabinets). As of right now, you can still catch me at the South Durham Farmers Market this Saturday or online, I look forward to seeing everyone this weekend!

Good morning, quick update. Unfortunately, I do not have a lot to report other than the walls have been removed and we are working to dry out the concrete on the flooring. There is a strong smell, and not the good kind that we are working on as well. The good news is that we have not flooded more in the last few days, thankful they widened the creek to allow more water into it.

Heck of a last few days…

As many of you know, my store took a really bad hit when Tropical Storm Chantal made flash floods happen. The Soap and Shine was 18-24 inches underwater.

Thank you to everyone who has reached out to me. It means the 🌎! I especially want to thank for allowing me space to hold summer camps. Also, how cool that the Chapel Hill 👮 and 🚒 Departments were out assisting today. Thank you again to all! 🙏

Right now, I’m feeling shaken and uncertain. Lots of questions and not many answers. I’m also thinking about our neighbors who got hit locally and in Texas.

Tropical Storm Chantal hit hard last night, flooding The Soap and Shine and causing a lot of damage. I've lost so much, from products to furniture, and I'm heartbroken. This was supposed to be an exciting year for my little store, especially with the summer craft programs for kids going so well.

First day of summer camp!!!! It went great, we had so much fun making sugar scrubs!

Loving my new candles that were introduced today. I love how they turned out a gel candle on the bottom with real seashells in on top there are soy wax. The smell is as Azure coast from CandleScience.
