Possibly my only tradition hit like a ton of bricks this morning over an everything bagel with plain (vegan) cream cheese (stupid Alpha-Gal) and a cup of ginger tea.

Christmas eve tears (with lil’ a dash of manageable nerves) come to visit me for roughly 5-7 mins every year because, frankly, I'm so damn happy…and relieved, and grateful and excited thinking of people opening their GJJH gifts.

This year has been a lot of things, and ~OVER EASY- REVERSE UNO- TWO WAYS~ is how I would describe it.

Let me explain.

Reverse uno over easy-
It was *not* an easy year. In fact, it was the most challenging year I’ve ever experienced, both physically and mentally. 😂😅 Everything I thought I knew or was semi-confident about (scaling, logistics, etc.) got tossed out the window. The goal of 2022 was to land in 2023 ready for the next phase of business and the next phase of life (my 30s). Reverse Uno again...it's exactly what we needed, and we landed exactly where I hoped.

Over easy-
In the face of a challenging year, it’s never been *easier* to keep going. It’s never been easier to look around and feel grateful. There is so much purpose and community in this business. A diamond in the rough. A gift that you all have and continue to give me, a gift that comes gleaming through at just the right time, always.

*the tears have returned* so TLDR;
I’m so thankful to everyone who decided to share GJJH with the people in their life this holiday season. I hope the gifts were/are a hit. We couldn't do it without your support.

I’ve always wanted to be a person who keeps a journal. So many sweet moments get lost in the blur that comes with running a small business. I recently decided that my best bet for keeping up was not to buy another notebook, but instead snap a photo for the moment and store it away in a dedicated folder ~very originally called~ “photo journal.”

Fifteen seconds of dedicated time to hopefully hold on to these moments a little tighter.

Here is the photo I took this morning. I’m behind on posting. I’ve called in backup weekend help, the online order cue has never been so full, we’ve got a very important deadline looming…and I feel at ease. So I snapped a picture.

All the lessons learned have spat me out right here in this shipping station, holding a giant stack of holiday orders full of people’s names I know, love and appreciate.

Sometimes I think, am I sappy? Or am I just keenly aware of how many things had to go right (and wrong) for me to be standing here?

Anyways, back to work I go. Thanks for helping me create something so good that I’m constantly brainstorming ways to hold on to each moment a little longer and a little tighter.

We’ve been keeping a lot of Texas sized secrets around here but I will start with this one!!!!

We are so honored to have gotten an invitation back to Texas! We will be packing up and heading back to Magnolia for their holiday season kick off—Silobration!! It’s so exciting to be included in this line up of 35 small business owners from all across the US!

We met so many new friends last time and I can’t wait to be back in Waco for round 2!

Things at the warehouse are back in full swing but I’m still thinking about the weekend!!! The word to describe the experience at Indie Craft Parade is THOUGHTFUL. From the vendor line up, to the snacks, to the partnerships/sponsors of the event…it’s just an honor to be apart of. is one of the last great big markets that truly celebrates *small handmade businesses* above all else.
