Meet Darcy

Darcy is our massage therapist with 13 years experience. She started as an x-ray technician and switched to massage therapy in 2008. To say she knows the body is an understatement! Darcy is certified in many techniques but there is one we would like to discuss tonight

Reiki (pronounced ray-kee)

is a coined Japanese word for stress reduction and relaxation. It is an energy service. Reiki is becoming popular as people recognize the negative toll, taken on their body, from coping with the stresses and strains of living in today's busy society.

Reiki is administered by softly laying hands on the client. Work within the energy fields outside of the physical body may also be part of the session. Reiki is based on the idea that life force energy flows through us and sustains our lives. If one's life force energy is low, then we are more likely to feel stress. That stress may contribute to illness. If one's life force energy is high, we are more capable of contentment and happiness, which supports a healthy life.
