As my cosmetology journey comes to a close, I’ve done a lot of reflecting. This is been a long, hard process to embark on and I’ve experienced SO much that even people closest to me have no clue about but one thing has been consistent.

When people disappeared, when I couldn’t drag myself out of bed but ended up at school anyway, when I stayed in bed feeling alone and contemplating everything around me., Each bus and train ride I took without two nickels to rub together. God has been there.

Beside me, sometimes ahead of prepping; he has been there. When I couldn’t count on anyone, including myself, he was showing patience even when I refused to hear anything he had to say.

Pushing me. Silently providing. Quietly sending blessings through people. Reminding me that I’m standing in answered prayers and he is still keeping his promises even on days I didn’t wanna hear nothing he was saying to me.

Honestly, I had no idea what any of this was for but without the 1.5 yeae battle, I would never understand how to truly value the guts required earn the position you pray to be in.

Looking back this has been a blessing in disguise and I’m honored to be chosen to share his gifts with the world. Cheers to moving up!
