🚨 Struggling with lash retention? It’s not always the adhesive. Here are a few common reasons retention issues happen:

✨ For Lash Artists:

• Product Knowledge Matters: Not understanding your adhesive, humidity, temperature, and proper use can negatively affect retention.

• Not Assessing Your Client’s Skin Type: Oily clients may require a primer, while dry clients may only need a thorough cleanse. Understanding the skin and natural oils is key.

• Poor Timing During Placement: Dipping the extension before isolating the natural lash can cause the adhesive to begin curing before attachment, resulting in weak bonds.

• Not Washing Your Lashes Daily: Clean lashes = better retention. Oil, makeup, and debris break down the adhesive over time.

• Using Oil-Based Products: Certain skincare products and makeup removers can weaken the bond and lead to premature shedding.

• Sleeping Face Down: Friction against your pillow can twist, crush, and loosen extensions.
