Why do blondes fade warm?
π¦ Hot water usage with hard water build up- invest in a water filter for your shower head.
βοΈ Too much direct sunlight - Wear a cute hat or apply heat protector with UV in it.
π₯ Direct hot tool heat- lower the temperature on hot tools and invest in a good hot tool heat protector.
π§Ό Over washing- invest in a dry shampoo and space out over washing your hair.
π±ββοΈ Not lifted enough - A blonde should be lifted to a level 9 to remove any bold gold undertones.
It's YOUR therapy. I'm just here to do YOUR hair! π

Here's the facts! ππ»
Hot water on the hair is terrible for our hair & skin. Especially when it comes to shampooing & conditioning our hair.
πΏ What does hot water do?
It opens the hair cuticle & strips our natural oil & hair dye. Leaving dry ends & faded hair color or blondes will turn a brassy color (our environment, products & hot tools also play a role).
πΏWhat should I do then?
Cool - warm water temp.
πΏHere is what I do.
I'm always cold & LOVE my hot showers. I start by bathing in hot water & when I'm ready to wash my hair. I lower the temperature in my shower. Almost on a medium to cool temperature. I shampoo. Then when I place my conditioner in my hair. I let it sit like a treatment. Then I turn the water back on hot and finish bathing until I'm ready to rinse my conditioner out. Then I place the water back on cool for a good body rinse.
You will notice less dry scalp, hair and skin.
βΌοΈFun fact: Did you know that when you shave in hot water it leaves your pores opened?! Closing your pores with cool water will help with longevity of a shave or from dirty getting trapped into the skin.βΌοΈ

What transitions the pigment in our hair? π€
Hormonal changes, age, stress, hair color dyes, sun exposure, change of medication, change of diet all plays a role in our hair. If our hair can tell us the story I'm sure we would be interested to know. What's your hair story?
On my client here is a transition of AGING in the hair. From no grey to grey hair.
1 - closer to her root- new growth, less pigment more grey.
2 - Right underneath 1 the transition has more pigment but has a mix of grey creating a blend.
3 - In zone 3 there is noticeable less grey and the hair has more pigment appearing the hair to be darker.
4- Closer to the ends of the hair is her natural brown (pure pigment) with blonde highlights. No visible loss pigment.
It's interesting to see how over the years her grey became more dominant and her natural looses its pigment. π
