Moriah Hemingsway Health Foundation supports youth in the community

The Mayor’s Youth Employment Program (MYEP) provides paid and unpaid internships for high school youth in the public, non-profit and private sectors. Youth are referred to the MYEP by program partners: Communities In Schools, Right Moves For Youth, Goodwill Industries of the Southern Piedmont and the City of Charlotte Neighborhood & Business Services department.

On June 12, 2012 Moriah Hemingsway Foundation and Gaffney health Services, in honor of the late Jeremiah C. Gaffney, Jr., dedicated a garden to the Veterans of North Carolina. As part of the "Veteran’s FoodShare of Charlotte Garden Program". In attendance were special honored guests. There was even a visit by "Elvis Presley", impersonated by Robbie Wright. A ribbon cutting ceremony followed the program and acknowledgement of all the veterans and special guests. (View Program Below)
