You know how I told you I was gunna keep these all a secret until the book came out?
Well I can’t. So here’s one just as a tease 😜
Pre-orders are a REALLY big deal in book world, so if you could do that that would be great. It’ll be in your mailbox this October 🥹 just google “Floor It - Rachel Selman” and it’ll bring up my Simon+Schuster page where you can choose the distributor you prefer.
Special thank you to SandySpines | Dr. Sandy | artist & chiropractor for listening to me ramble about what I wanted for these drawings and for actually turning them into reality on a tighhht deadline ❤️ yall are going to love what these drawings bring to the text!
Who wants to give me a creative answer for what to say when my husband asks what I’ve been doing today while he had work 😅
I mean…this is work
(Yes I’m wearing my San Diego zoo panda shirt)
Big goals deserve to be said out loud 📢
Scary! But exciting. And fun. And exhausting. I’m finishing up week 5 of training for the Indianapolis Marathon and have 16 weeks to turn my current fitness into a Boston Qualifying level of fitness 😅
Training in the SE US in July is absolutely MISERABLE but we’re doing it even though none of my paces translate or build my confidence at all 😂
I truly don’t know how attainable this goal is for me, and that’s really scary to say publicly - I usually keep goals like this to myself so that if I don’t hit them I’m the only one who knows. But then…I realize I have a wonderful support system who would want to know if I didn’t hit a big goal so they could support me, and now here I am screaming a big scary goal into the internet ether. Weird.
Anyways, come along 🏃♀️

I can go ahead and say it here - it’s HIGHLY unlikely I’ll be responding to comments on this one. Learning to better protect my peace
Anything I want to say about this is said here, and my comment section is not an invitation for debate (at least not with me personally). If you’d like to have a discussion with others or add clarity/thoughts, go for it!
As someone who works (indirectly) in the hormone space, I wanted to provide my thoughts. So here they are!
In the meantime, I’ll be back in the clinic where my clients are told on a regular basis that they are too young for hormone replacement therapy or that it’s too dangerous/risky despite having every single symptom you’d find with low progesterone, testosterone, and/or estrogen.
If it feels political, look inward.
CAN’T WE ALL JUST GET ALONG
🤠 but for real, it’s wild out here.

The comparison trap is SO real - but the research shows you’re probably not giving yourself enough credit for everything happening behind the scenes.
I have ebbs and flows in my fitness and the reality is I lean into these types of studies hard when things aren’t working out exactly how I’d like. Reality - when you have 2 small humans who rely on you, there are more days than not where my training timing or effort isn’t ideal (or doesn’t happen at all).
So if your algorithm is making you feel a little like 🗑️ by showing you everyone who seems to be doing more, don’t forget all the goodness that actually happened in your day ❤️

Not a lot going on at the moment 🎶
Incredible thank you to the NSCA - incredible conference with incredible people and incredible opportunity. What an honor - truly one of the biggest days in my career. I’m so, so thankful.

I can’t stop won’t stop posting because the book is so close to going off to print and she looks like a REAL book now! AH
After what is now my probably 400th time reading it, I can finally say I’m ready for it to be YOURS now. Not just mine, not just the publishers and illustrators, but YOURS.
Making our last little tweaks and then it’s off to the printer! Please preorder ❤️ that tells distributors there is interest and helps it get into the hands of even more people. I love it SO much and I hope you do too!
