It’s amazing what the right products and a proper cut can do for curls!
Curls come in many different forms and just like with straight hair curls can be fine and on the thinner side too.
It’s all about finding products and a cut that work with your curl type. In this case Alyssa realized she didn’t actually need as many products as she was using, just 3 really good ones!
She also was wearing her hair one length and that length was weighing down her curl. She wanted a good chop on her length as well as a defined face frame and layers to give her over all more volume. The cut made her hair all over thicker and fuller and using the right products gave us soft, defined, hydrated curls!

“I’m ready to embrace my curly hair but where do I start?”
My answer is a good shaping. Not having a proper cut that compliments your curls can only make things more difficult when it comes to styling. There is nothing more annoying than curls that just won’t cooperate.
Pre cut characteristics that can stop your hair from curling to its full potential can be, too much weight in the wrong places, dry broken ends, thin ends that cause the hair to lack thickness at the perimeter.

Okay so quick breakdown: We did a full teasy light followed by a balayage on everything that was left out! After we did a root shadow, toner, treatment cut and style!

Bringing curls to life has been the highlight of my time in the salon lately!
Most of the time curls just need moisture and the right product but sometimes you need a good cut to remove the weight that’s keeping your curls from their full potential.
We did a full hydration service with a deep conditioning mask as well as well as giving her the s**g of my literal dreams, bringing her curls to life! It completely shifted her entire look and it was just a matter of enhancing what she already had.

My favorite part is my clients leaving the salon lighter and healthier! 😍
